Credit Recovery & Flexible Learning Options
Helping Students Get Back on Track — Online or Through Hybrid Learning
Falling behind on credits can feel overwhelming for students and families, but it doesn’t have to derail graduation plans. Cyber Village Academy (CVA) offers flexible, supportive options to help Minnesota students make up credits, rebuild confidence, and progress toward graduation — all within a learning model that fits real life.
Students can choose between our fully Online Program or our Hybrid Program, which includes three days in school (Monday–Wednesday) and two days of at-home or on-campus learning (Thursday–Friday). Both approaches provide structure, flexibility, and consistent teacher support.
Flexible Credit Recovery Designed for Minnesota Students
CVA’s credit recovery system helps students make up missed or incomplete courses at a manageable pace. Because CVA is a Minnesota public charter school, our programs are free for Minnesota families, accredited, and aligned with state graduation requirements.
Students can complete credit recovery courses:
- 100% online, working independently with teacher guidance
- At a personalized pace, focusing on skill recovery
- With weekly check-ins, ensuring students stay on track
- In the hybrid model, on-campus days offer added structure and support
This dual-model structure lets students choose the learning path that fits them best.
Online Learning for Independent Students or Students Needing a Different Path to Success
Many students choose the 100% Online Program because it offers flexible pacing and independence. It works especially well for learners who:
- Prefer working at home
- Need fewer distractions
- Have health challenges or anxiety
- Balance school with work or family responsibilities
- Balance school with demanding activities, such as circus, theater, gymnastics, etc.
- Thrive with flexible schedules
Online lessons are accessible anytime, empowering students to learn when they’re most focused.
Hybrid Learning: Structure + Flexibility
CVA’s Hybrid Program blends the best of online and in-person learning. Students attend school Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday for teacher guidance and social connection, then work independently from home or at Study Center on campus Thursday and Friday.
Ideal for students who:
- Need more accountability
- Benefit from teacher modeling
- Want some social interaction
- Are transitioning from traditional school
- Prefer a balanced schedule
The hybrid model helps students build confidence, regain routine, and stay on track academically.
Individualized Support Helps Students Succeed
Every credit recovery student at CVA receives a personalized plan. Teachers support learners with clear expectations, scaffolding, and strong encouragement.
Support includes:
- Weekly teacher meetings
- Clear communication of goals
- Modified pacing when needed
- Extra help sessions
- Progress monitoring
This holistic support helps students rebuild momentum quickly and effectively.
A Program That Meets Students Where They Are
CVA understands that credit loss often stems from personal challenges — illness, life transitions, anxiety, difficult school environments, or inconsistent attendance.
CVA’s combination of online and hybrid options ensures every student can:
- Work at a manageable pace
- Re-learn foundational skills
- Build academic confidence
- Graduate with pride
